Job description
Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Moving cattle into corn stalk fields. Implanting and working corn stalk cattle through the chutes. Feeding cattle on corn stalks with troughs. Hauling water to cattle on corn stalks. Preparing fence for cattle to go on corn stalks. Inspect livestock for injury/illness. Thawing out frozen waterers. Plowing to roadways to perform other cattle work. Spreading stockpiled manure. Moving cattle from field to field. Scraping manure. Repair feeding areas from winter. Bedding cattle on corn stalks. Maintaining cattle feeding equipment. Repairing cattle facilities. May need to drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive walking is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
