Job description

Workers will manually plant, cultivate and harvest fruits and vegetables including; thinning and weeding plants using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes and rakes. Workers will also dig, cut, pick, bunch, clean and grade crops by hand. Workers will be responsible for culling spoiled and immature fruits and vegetables. Workers must take care to not scar or bruise fruits or vegetables during harvesting and/or packing process. Workers must be able to lift 50lb. crates/boxes of harvested fruits and vegetables. Workers may drive tractors to pull harvest wagons and may move or assemble irrigation equipment. During harvest months, workers may work up to 60+ hours in a week, but 40-45 is average during the regular season.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
