Job description
Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies; Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, corrals, waterers, and fences; Assist in birth deliveries of heifers and cows; Provide medical treatment and record numbers; Move equipment or livestock from one location to another manually or using trucks or carts; Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals and to prep ground for planting; Mow grass pasture; Set up and operate irrigation equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as peas, small grains, soybeans.
Special Requirements
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
