Job description
Job duties include preparing scale tickets, monitoring to ensure compliance with moisture and grade standards; transferring grain to proper storage location; transferring grain from storage bins to truck grain carts prior to shipment; operating augers and conveyors; operating milling equipment to mill corn; performing housekeeping duties to ensure that storage locations are properly maintained; performing maintenance & minor miscellaneous repair on augers, grain bins, milling equipment, equipment that runs augers and mill machine, and other tools involved with the storage of grain. Must be able to climb vertical bins. Daily duties may vary depending on crop and weather conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions. Random drug testing and criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure safe housing and work environments for all workers.
