Job description
Aquaculture Worker:
Helps with live transfer of juvenile shrimp from nursery to grow out ponds. Siphons and harvests shrimps. Helps in cleaning equipment, weighing and processing boxes, packing shrimps, and changing of water. Helps in feeding shrimps. makes sure feed is spread evenly in the pond.
Maintains all aerators in all ponds, fix any aerators that shut down. Prepares ponds prior to stocking. Bottom checks ponds, flushing of ponds, sampling weights for all grow out ponds. Ensure all technical cultivation tasks from preparation to cycle transition. Controls water quality parameters.
Special Requirements
3 months of verifiable prior work experience with aquaculture is required. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid random, upon suspicion and post-accident drug testing in accordance with state law. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
