Job description
We wean our calves in September and October, feeding them through the winter before releasing them to pasture in June and selling them off after a 200-day period, with no further assistance needed with the cattle in July or August. Our farming operation plants corn, sorghum, and rye during the spring and harvests crops in the fall. No additional help is needed with crops in the summer months. Job duties will include operating tractors and various farm equipment, as well as irrigation equipment. Additionally, job duties will include installing, maintaining, and repairing pivot irrigation systems; driving farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools; inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment; maintaining and operating cattle feeding equipment; maintaining cattle facilities; and maintaining and repairing fences.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, frequent stooping and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have a regular driver's license. Require 1 month farm experience.
