Job description

Job duties include the following but is not limited to:
Inspect, maintain, prepare, repair equipment pens, yards, fences associated with corn stalk and wheat pasture.
Receive and place stocker cattle on wheat and corn stalks for grazing.
Feed cattle to supplement diet.
Examining cattle to detect diseases, injuries and monitor animal health.
Break ice in watering facilities.
Pull cattle off stalks (prior to planting) and wheat (at hollow stem).
Sell cattle, move cattle with stock trailer.

Special Requirements

A minimum of at least six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for handling livestock.
Worker will perform physical and manual work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping and bending over. Some movements might be repetitive. Worker must be able to lift 75 lbs. of feed and newborn animals.
Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days following hire; and maintain clean driving record to be able to operate company pickup for obtaining medicine and birthing supplies.
Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
