Job description
Workers will perform all vineyard related work including but not limited to: Pruning, clean up, chipping (Jan-March). Tying - cane and cord on to wire, thinning, suckering (March-April). 1st shoot positioning to wire, spraying (April-May). 2nd pass shoot thinning and weeding with a long-handed hoe, 2nd wire positioning (May-June). July-August there is miscellaneous work in the vineyard, repairing fences/trellises and weeding. September-November is harvest and cleanup at the end of harvest. The employer will abide by California Code Regulations at Title 8, Section 3437.
The workers schedule will shift as the season changes and because of daylight savings time. Workers will work from 6 am to 2 pm during daylight savings and 8pm to 4 pm when daylight savings is over.
Special Requirements
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may request additional work hours or these hours based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
