Job description

Workers will examine and sort fleece according to quality. Will estimate the weight of the fleece after processing. Separate locks of fleece and examine fibers for length, elasticity and color to determine quality. Examine fleece to determine presence of manure, straw, stains and moisture. Place fleece in containers and mark wool grade on containers according to government standard and quality. Will also set up grading tables and fleece containers prior to shearing and pack up grading tables and fleece containers upon completion of shearing so everything is ready to move to the next job site. Fleece must be continually moving away from shearers so they can be kept separate, as the must be graded and examined individually. It is important that the wool graders and the sheep shearers work in cooperation with each other for the proper handling of the wool.

The work performed under this multi-state itinerary, in combination with Job Order JO-A-300-24299-433955, represents one full-time job opportunity covering the same period of employment for the workers.

Did you know that... most J-1 workers who work more than 40 hours a week

(and in some states, more than 8 hours a day), can get paid "time and a half?"
