Job description
General farmhands for Crawfish, Rice, Soy beans, Cattle: work includes: Help repair and maintain farm equipment, shop, fields, levees, and farm roads. Rice and Soy beans to include: field prep, water maintenance, planting and harvesting of crop & driving tractor. Upkeep of grain bins to include sweeping, shoveling, spreading grain in bins, cleaning up grain spills, leveling bins. Crawfishing involves manually cutting up of fish bait, baiting of traps; operate crawfish boats; frequent stooping and lifting traps from pond, lifting requirement of 40 lbs., repetitive movements and working outside in inclement weather conditions. Cattle to include: repair fences, vaccinate calves, monitor the calves to make sure they're in good health, ween them from the Mom & getting them ready to be sold to market as breeding stock and/or keep them for breeding, feed, water & maintain animal housing area.Housing provided on the premises at no cost. Tools, supplies & equipment provided at no cost. Transportation & subsistence expenses to the worksite are paid for by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract. Employees may make above hourly wage and or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience. Must have legal authority to work within the United States.
