Job description
1. Data Entry and Management: Enter and maintain patient information accurately and
confidently in the electronic health records system. Update patient records with new
information, including diagnoses, treatments, and test results.
2. Record Organization and Retrieval: Organize electronic health records for easy access and
retrieval by healthcare professionals. Retrieve patient records as needed for medical
appointments, procedures, and consultations.
3. Quality Assurance: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of electronic health records by
conducting regular audits and reviews. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in
patient records.
4. Security and Privacy Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict
confidentiality of patient information. Implement security measures to safeguard electronic
health records from unauthorized access or disclosure.
5. System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Monitor the performance of the electronic
health records system and report any issues or technical glitches to IT support. Assist in
troubleshooting and resolving software or hardware problems related to the electronic health
records system.
6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to healthcare staff on using the electronic health records system effectively and efficiently. Offer assistance and guidance to
colleagues in navigating the system and locating patient information as needed.
