Job description

Operate farm machinery to till, plant, spray, irrigate and harvest crops.
Maintain and service (wash, lubricate, repair) equipment and vehicles in the farm shop.
Mow field borders and lots.
Clean, maintain and repair farm buildings and grounds.
Drive semi-trailer trucks to transport grain to elevators.
Rogue and spray weeds.
Install and operate furrow and flood irrigation systems in rice and soybeans.
Applicants must please note: The entire farm, including farm housing, is a smoke-free
environment. Alcohol and drugs are not permitted anywhere on the farm or in farm housing.
The Workers Compensation insurance policy requires drug testing in the event of an injury.

Special Requirements

A minimum of 3 months experience is required.
Workers will work in an outdoor environment which will expose them to hot and humid conditions. Workers must have the ability to perform manual labor which involves lifting of 60 pounds. Job duties will require workers to walk in flooded fields, using a shovel.
Job duties might involve extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, repetitive movements, frequent stooping or bending over.
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
Due to the liability of operating big expensive farming machinery a drug screening test will be
required post-hire at the employer's expense. Failure to pass a drug test will result in termination of employment with our company.
