Job description

Drive and operate farm machinery.
Attach farm implements such as plow, disc and drill to tractor.
Operate back hoe, forklift and trucks on the farm.
Perform farm maintenance activities like routine inspection of machinery, plows, irrigation systems, weed control, fertilization, and maintenance and repairs of farm buildings/storage areas.
General seasonal farm duties assigned like testing soil, screen potato seeds, fertilizing and management of pests and weeds.
Tractor tillage work.
Maintain and operate irrigation systems.
Tow harvesting equipment.
General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery.
Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools or farm workers.

Special Requirements

Minimum of three months verifiable experience is required.
Workers must be able to obtain driver's license within 30 days of hire.
Due to the liability of operating equipment, the employer requires a drug screen check post-hire at the employers' expense. The employer also requires a criminal background check post-hire at the employers' expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass the drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment.
Job duties to be performed, require workers to perform manual and physical labor. Workers will be required to push, pull and walk extensively. Some job duties will require repetitive movements. Workers will be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
