Job description
We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, wheat and soybean growing season. Employees will assist with all aspects of raising these crops. In January we spray winter wheat and begin moving grain. We plant, grow and harvest our crops. After harvest and drilling in fall, there is a period of general farm maintenance, washing, and shop work. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, planters, seed drills, irrigation equipment, operate other farm equipment, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background as required by the workplace safety policy and company hiring practices as allowed by law. Must have a regular driver's license. Require 1 month farm experience.
