Job description
Employees will help do maintenance on the machinery before during and after harvests. Prepare the fields and plant the crops. Apply the correct herbicides. Do fence maintenance around the fields. Do weed control. Harvest crops. Take corn to storage facility and test for moisture. There they may need to dry it or just put air on it. Administer vaccines, implants, and vitamins to new crop cattle. Identify and record cattle. Monitor and feed cattle. Administer appropriate medication if needed. Fix and maintain pasture fences and keep automatic waters in working and clean condition. Monitor cattle on a daily basis while in pastures. Rotate the cattle to new pastures as needed. Fly control as needed. In late September start cattle on a TMR ration in combination with pasture to get them in condition to sell. Load and sell at auction barn. Close up facility till next season. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Job requires exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures, repetitive movements, extensive pushing pulling and walking. Employer will conduct post-hire random drug tests to enforce a drug free workplace at no cost to the employee. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Require 3 months experience.
