General Farm Worker

Job description

Duties include drive and operate farm machinery such as tractors with towed implements to do farm activities. Workers will drive tractors installed with GPS and operate designated towing equipment, drills, disks, and drags to furrow and prepare the soil, plant and fertilize. They will transport materials, supplies, or crops to designated locations. Workers will haul contracted grains for delayed delivery, equipment, and inputs items such as fertilizer, seed, and supplies to storage. All crops and supplies will be the property of the Employer. There will be no commercial hauling.

Routine maintenance will be done on all equipment & grounds. Workers must be able to work independently after being given instructions and must be team players when needed.
Requirements:
- Employees have valid driver's licenses or obtain one in 30 days.
- Cell phone usage is limited to business-related calls only.
- NO TEXTING.
- No smoking in equipment, vehicles, housing, or grounds.
- No drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours and otherwise discouraged.
- Must be able to read, understand, and speak English for record keeping and safety reasons.
- No Educational level is required.
- Must have 3 months of tractor driving installed with GPS and towed implements. Operate and understand GPS and
computerized monitors.
