Job description
Workers must be able to drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds gross vehicle weight. Workers must be able to drive long distances and perform duties attendant to driving, such as fueling and logging activities. Workers must adhere strictly to traffic laws and DOT regulations. Workers must be able to load, secure, and unload a truck. Workers may perform other tasks and duties under SOC Code 53-3032. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions and in commercial motor vehicles. The ability to see details at a distance, focus, react to various driving conditions, and otherwise operate the vehicle safely is required. The ability to sit for long periods of time is required. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Cognitive ability to accomplish the above functions is required. Commercial driving licensure (with a doubles/triples endorsement or equivalent thereof from a jurisdiction with reciprocity) is required.
Special Requirements
Workers must have 60 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). The work schedule under Section A(6) may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Work assignments, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are at the sole discretion of the employer. For purposes of meeting the guarantee, workers will not be required to work more than the number of hours specified in this job order or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in this job order. Workers must comply with the employers personnel policies, including but not limited to its policies regarding safety, harassment/discrimination, abusive conduct, and drugs and alcohol. Workers must follow all reasonable and lawful instructions and directives. The employer reserves all management prerogatives not inconsistent with applicable law.
