Kitchen Crew Workers
Incident to and in conjunction with MCF4's farming operations on the farm, workers will perform secondary agriculture functions, as described at 29 C.F.R. 780.105 (c). Under the direction of the Cook, workers duties will include assisting in maintaining food inventory and stocking supplies, preparing a variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, or desserts, according to supervisors' instructions, following approved procedures; and associated farm labor kitchen maintenance and general clean-up, delivery of meals to workers in fields, and provide food service in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations. All work described herein is provided directly to agricultural workers employed by the Employer.
Special Requirements
One month kitchen crew or food prep work experience. Workers must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently. No smoking, drinking alcohol, or illegal weapons or controlled substances in the fields or in housing. Able to stoop, bend, and work in cold and wet conditions. Able to use tools such as pruning shears, grape knives, hand saws, weed eaters, hedgers, shovels. Safety use and training provided by employer. Workers must abide by Employer housing rules. Ability to communicate in English or Spanish is required for training and safety purposes. (i.e. Workers must listen to, understand and follow instructions of Employer crew leaders, supervisors and managers.)
