Job description
Mechanics must be able to:
* Rebuild a diesel engine, put piston/sleeves/bearings in an engine, replace fuel injectors, diagnose engine problems on semitrucks and Case IH ag tractors, rebuild heavy duty transmissions on semitrucks
* Preform a complete overhaul on a diesel engine, time diesel engines, change a heavy-duty clutch on a semi-truck
* Work on PTO systems (Power Take Off) systems, planting and tillage equipment, jake breaks
* Harvest preparation includes preparing equipment, trucks, trailers, tractors, harvesters and field equipment
* Operating farm machinery including trucks and tractors
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds and maneuver any weight above 50 pounds with assistance on a regular basis.
* Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.
* Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, electrical, lights, and exhausts.
* Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, wheel bearings, brakes, tires, turbos, starters, alternators, compressors, water pumps, engines and other associated parts.
* Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.
* Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.
* Completing oil changes, alignment and brake checks

Special Requirements
2.Worker must possess 12 months of mechanic experience.
4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 50lbs.
4f) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
4g) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools.
4h) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time.
4i) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as harvest preparation.
4j) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties.
