Job description
Workers will be picking, pruning, selecting, grading, packing, sorting, blueberries by hand.
Wash hands before and after picking blueberries and after every break.
Workers will pick blueberries that are dry, they cannot be picked wet. Blueberries will be picked according to color of ripeness, firmness. restack lugs, stack on trailer.
Pick berries put into a 1-gallon dry bucket, carry to dumper/weigh. Workers will, count, pick, pack, load, and unload blueberries.
Workers may machine pick by sitting on the machine and changing lugs as they fill up by the machine. Hoe, till, fertilize, weed, thin, prune, plant, replace plants, clean areas, trash, make boxes, wash lugs, clean equipment; sanitize all work areas daily, debris sweep, mop, clean restrooms, lugs, trailers.
Must have good hand and eye coordination to quality pick the blueberries. Prefer smooth use of machete due to snakes.
Special Requirements
Worker 3 months of verifiable blueberry picking farm-work experience required. Workers may lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Tools are provided by employer at no cost. Must show proof of legal authority to work in USA. Must be 18 years old. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid post-accident drug testing. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
