Job description

Perform maintenance and record keeping on farm equipment including sod harvesters, forklifts, mowers, truck and trailers. This would include oil changes, grease, hydraulics, tires, brakes, welding and any other necessary repairs. The worker occasionally will drive farm equipment and trucks containing sod grown on the farm to various farm owned properties and to market. Drug testing may be required at employer expense post-hire to both H-2A and domestic workers. Standard work week is Monday through Friday, however, Saturday work required when necessary. Hours per week range from 40-50 hours.

This application is being submitted under the Emergency Procedures as the dates of need fall outside of the 60-day filing window. We previously submitted an ETA790 application under case number JO-A-300-24323-480769. U.S. DOL, however, requested that the application be re-filed until the 6/27/2024 regulations. As of November 27, 2024, employers (or an employer’s authorized attorney or agent) will be directed on the Foreign Labor Application Gateway (FLAG) System to prepare and submit H-2A job orders and Applications for Temporary Employment Certification using the forms applicable under the version of 20 CFR part 655, subpart B in effect on June 27, 2024.

Special Requirements

3 months experience includes working with Agricultural Equipment, including flatbed trailers and heavy trucks. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. Random drug testing may be required at employer expense post- hire to both H-2A and domestic workers. Employer agrees to provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned
