Job description
We have a row crop farm (corn, wheats in the mid west. Job duties will include: operating tractors, loading and unload crops, opt, beans). We need assistance with all aspects of raising these crops including planting, growing, harvesting, and hauling of our crops. Starting in February we apply nitrogen to the fields, also known as top dressing the soil. This must be done on frozen ground and therefore cannot be done in the spring after the ground defrosts. We also start winter wheat in February. In the spring we prep our fields for planting, planting our crops in a timely fashion. During the summer employees will care for crops and in the fall, harvest as soon as the crops mature needs to start taking place before harsh late fall, early winter sets in the mid-west. After harvest employees will need to haul the crops to storage which finishes up in late November. There are no crops in the fields in the winter and therefore no help in needed in December and January. Job duties will include operating tractors, loading and unload crops, operate equipment to harvest crops, drive farm trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools. Employees will need to complete all job duties related to the crop production season for these crops. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required.
Special Requirements
Must have a regular driver's license. Require 1 month farm experience.
