Job description

Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops including maintenance on grain bins; Clean, repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and other heavy duty farm equipment (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as John Deere Tractors (30 Series & R series), JD Combines S790 & X9 1100, JD Sprayer 4380R & 410R, with JD Guidance (monitors) SF1, SF2,RT K, JD planters 1770 NT, 1795 E, JD grain drills 1190CCs to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employer’s fields, load employer’s crops into hopper trailers and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Must be able to speak and communicate in english.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
