Job description

Helpers-Farm Mechanic. Help installation, maintenance, and repair workers in maintenance, parts replacement, and repair of farm vehicles and farm equipment. Perform duties such as furnishing tools, materials, and supplies to other workers; cleaning work area, machines, and tools; and holding materials or tools for other workers. Tend and observe farm vehicles and farm equipment to verify safe, proper, and efficient operation. Position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects for assembly or installation, using hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment. Adjust, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, and machines, and assist more skilled workers with similar tasks. Prepare work stations for use by mechanics. Though not a hiring requirement, if a worker drives a company vehicle during the period of employment then at the time of operating the company vehicle the driver must possess a valid driver’s license issued by a U.S. state or foreign equivalent and operate the company vehicle in accordance with the license restrictions and vehicle classifications applicable to that license.

Ayudantes-Mecánico Agrícola. Ayudar a los trabajadores de instalación, mantenimiento y reparación en el mantenimiento, reemplazo de piezas y reparación de vehículos y equipos agrícolas. Realizar tareas tales como proporcionar herramientas, materiales y suministros a otros trabajadores; limpieza del área de trabajo, máquinas y herramientas; y sostener materiales o herramientas para otros trabajadores. Cuidar y observar los vehículos y equipos agrícolas para verificar un funcionamiento seguro, adecuado y eficiente. Posicionar vehículos, maquinaria, equipos, estructuras físicas y otros objetos para montaje o instalación, utilizando herramientas manuales, eléctricas y equipos en movimiento. Ajustar, mantener y reparar herramientas, equipos y máquinas, y ayudar a trabajadores más calificados con tareas similares. Prepare las estaciones de trabajo para uso de los mecánicos. Aunque no es un requisito de contratación, si un trabajador conduce un vehículo de la empresa durante el período de empleo, al momento de operar el vehículo de la empresa, el conductor debe poseer una licencia de conducir válida emitida por un estado de EE. UU. o su equivalente extranjero y operar el vehículo de la empresa de acuerdo con las restricciones de licencia y clasificaciones de vehículos aplicables a esa licencia.

Special Requirements

Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. All testing will occur post-hire and is not a part of the interview process. Negative result may be required post-hire and before commencing work. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Must not hinder another workers productivity. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination. Requires one month verifiable experience as a farm mechanic helper. Must commit to work entire contract period. Workers will be expected to perform any of the listed duties and work on any crop as assigned by the employer and/or workers supervisor
