Job description
Crops: cereals, pulses
Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to: operating equipment for planting, seeding, fertilizing, spraying, weeding, cultivating, and harvesting of crops; routine machinery maintenance and repair; grain handling, machinery management; hauling farm commodities; repair farm buildings, fences and other structures; operating and maintaining various equipment; maintain farm grounds/mow; and other miscellaneous duties assigned. Perform physically demanding tasks.
Workers with a clean MVR and able to obtain an insurable driver's license will be requested to operate employer-owned trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to haul tools, supplies, crops, and transport workers (whether on or off farm) to and from the worker housing to the farm properties and occasionally around the farm properties during the workday including on public roads to reach the fields where work will be performed; as well as transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis.
Special Requirements
Must have 3 months verifiable experience in farm work. Applicants must furnish verifiable job references or comparable third-party documentation from recent employers to establish acceptable prior experience. This requirement will be applied equally to all new foreign and domestic candidates. Workers must have a valid, insurable drivers license or be eligible to apply for the same at no cost to the worker. Employer reserves the right to conduct employer-paid drug testing upon suspicion and post-accident in accordance with state law. Any employee who declines to take or fails a drug test will be immediately terminated.
