Job description
We have a 2500-acre organic grain operation producing corn, soybeans, wheat. Our workload starts in the spring with fieldwork including planting, manure application, plowing, discing, cultivation, etc. In the summer work include wheat harvest, baling straw, planting double crop soybeans and irrigating fields. In the fall we harvest our grain and work includes combining, manure application, field tillage and planting wheat. Employees will need to haul harvested grain from fields to storage and market. Employees will need to operate farm equipment including tractors, trucks, combines and other farm equipment. Must have experience with new model tractors and technology knowledge including tractor guidance systems or GPS. Will be required to pick rocks in fields. Haul grain with automatic semi-trucks, this includes shoveling grain, cleaning grain bins and power washing bins and equipment. Will complete farm maintenance including mowing, weed eating and tree trimming. Will be required to complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Job will also require irrigation work including maintenance repair and moving irrigation systems. Must be able to communicate in English and be willing to work long hours during peak periods. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required.
Special Requirements
Job requires a regular drivers license and three months experience.
