Agricultural Equipment Operator

Job description

Inspect harvest equipment (combines, headers, tractors, grain carts, trucks, service vehicles) to be field ready for harvest. Operate harvesting machines and support equipment to harvest crops. Adjust speed of cutters, blowers, conveyors, and weight of cutting head, using hand tools. Change cutting head as appropriate for crop. Clean and service harvest machines and support equipment; make in-field repairs as needed. Regularly maintain shop and surrounding yard. Crops: wheat, durum, canola, flax, milo, corn, sunflowers, soybeans

8am to 6pm is a typical work day; however, days and hours may vary based on weather and crop conditions
