Job description

My brother and I have been farming since 1979, and both married in 1986, when we added our wives to our partnership. We are an irrigated and dryland farm that grows cotton, corn, sorghum, wheat and mixed cover crops. We need employee to assist the farm with the operation of tractors, planters, sprayers, harvesters and other farm equipment to plow, spray, and hoe fields. Employee must have general knowledge of the operation of large agricultural equipment, and must be familiar with hydraulic and electrical trouble shooting. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities. Employee will diagnose, service and repair irrigation systems. Employee will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license within 30 days of hire.
