Job description

We need seasonal employees to operate tractors, planters, sprayers and other farm equipment to plow, spray, hoe fields of cotton, corn, wheat and milo. Employees will also need to operate cotton strippers to harvest cotton. Employees will need to do general farm duties and do routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Repair and rebuild equipment if needed. Must keep shops clean and parts organized (sprayer parts, sweeps, bolts, tires, oil, grease and bearings, etc). Must be proficient in welding and have mechanical ability. Complete other routine related farm duties to assist on the farm. Must be familiar with hydraulic and electrical trouble shooting, rebuild and calibrate 8-16 row planters, must have knowledge on how to construct and repair stalk cutters, plows 8-16 row, planters, rotary hoes, cultivators, onion blades, shredders, cotton strippers and bowl buggies. Operate forklift and telehandler. Diagnose, service and repair irrigation systems, must be able to patch and repair tires where needed. Employer may pay performance-based incentive bonuses at the end of the contractor period and/or pay increases for longevity or experience at the employer's discretion.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, frequent stooping, exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. of equipment. Employer will conduct post-hire drug testing and post-hire background checks at employers expense. We conduct drug testing to enforce a drug free workplace, failing a drug test will result in termination. No person with a violent or theft criminal background will be hired. Must have a valid driver's license.
