Job description
We need seasonal employees to assist with our season starting in February until cattle are sold in December. Making feed, feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching and loading cattle. Examining animals to detect diseases, injuries and ensure that they are in optimal health. Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations or insecticides. Assist with loading and offloading of cattle on or off trucks. Continuous inspection of fences. General maintenance of fences and doing repairs where needed. General farm duties associated with cattle care.
Special Requirements
A minimum of three (3) months of verifiable experience required.
Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping, bending over and movements might be repetitive. Job duties include lifting of agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to 50lbs. Most work is performed outdoors and workers will be exposed to extreme cold weather conditions like blizzards and snow.
Workers must obtain a driver's license within 30 days after employment.
