Job description
Performs duties like: Tend to lay hens and new chicks and deliver orders. Count chicks, determine their gender, dump and clean hatch baskets and hatchers. Collect, wash, and rack eggs. Transfer eggs to incubators and hatchers. Clean and prepare barns, clean feeders, and waterers. Till, plant, and set feeders in pens. Assemble pen. Catch, mark, and transfer birds from barns to pens. Catch and deliver started and mature birds. Maintain healthy living conditions for birds. Maintain buildings, vehicles, equipment, and pens. Assemble pen panels and maintain pens. Prepare seedbed, plant trees and other plants by hand and check if plants need watering, hand weeding, mowing and or spray for weed control or other plant protection products. Cutting and baling hay for feed. Use tractors and combines to produce grain and uses grinder mixer to make feed and fill feeders during pheasant season. Service and repair equipment Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
Special Requirements
Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours. Must be able to bend, lift, sit, and stand. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have or be able to obtain a valid drivers license. Must be able to work in a dusty environment. Require 3 months experience.
