Job description

Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, nurture, spray, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm Implements such as plow, disc, baler and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant, spray and cultivate. Operate newer skid steer. Maintain equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences. Operate and load chemical application equipment. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self - propelled combine. Operate auger to load and unload grain into bins. Keep yard, shop and bin sites mowed and clean. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools or farm workers. Workers are only allowed to Smoke in the yard, not in the housing facility, equipment, vehicles, or any other building or while in field (hay field or crop field).

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
