Job description
Murphy Family Ventures is seeking one (1) worker to do general farm labor including mowing, fertilizing, trimming, haying, spraying, maintaining agricultural
buildings and grounds, managing livestock, and helping the farm remain in compliance with the land nutrient management plan. The worker will monitor lagoon freeboard levels and drain the lagoons into hoses that will then pump the manure evenly onto adjacent farmland using airway, pivot, and reel irrigators, tractors, and irrigation hoses. The workers will operate and maintain the pumping, hoses, tractors, and irrigation equipment so that the manure can be properly applied to the surface of the farmland. The workers will record application records, collect soil and water samples, and maintain nutrients to proper agronomic rates. The workers will rotate and separate cows and bulls between pastures, catch, tag, record, and band calves, and vaccinate livestock. Ability to drive, walk, stoop, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, climb, perform repetitive motions, see and distinguish colors, and hear.
