Job description
Planting, weeding with long handled shovels, and harvesting forage hay crops and olives. General ranch maintenance of farm animal's pens/corrals/stales, and general animal husbandry.
- Planting: Use of a tractor grain planter to plant seeds on open ground.
- Weeding: Workers will use long-handled shovels to remove unwanted weeds from forest fields and around the ranch property.
- Forage Hay Harvesting: With the aid of a tractor and hay cutter, workers will cut and bale hay crops when they are ready for harvest.
- Olive Harvesting: Olives will be harvested using a long-handled harvesting rake. Loose olives will then be collected and placed into large bins.
- General Ranch Maintenance: This includes maintaining the pens, corrals, and stalls for farm animals, including the removal of manure, removal of used bedding, and placement of new bedding in animal stalls.
- Animal Husbandry: Consists of feeding and watering animals on a daily basis.
