Job description
Operating large farm equipment and machinery equipped with GPS such as tractor, planter, sprayer, combine, chopper for cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, moving, storing, harvesting grain and oilseed crops such as soybeans, corn, silage; feeding and sorting calves, repairing fences, cleaning work area, receiving stocker calves; move calves to grass pasture for grazing, monitor calves on grass pasture, assess injuries, ensure watering facilities function, administer medicine to sick calves as necessary, repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures, sell calves; recording information; cleaning work areas and feeling plants; mixing materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; attaching implements using hand tools; Speak and understand english.
Special Requirements
Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
