Job description
We farm organic corn and organic wheat. We need seasonal employees to assist with all aspects of growing these crops. Most of the work involves pivot irrigation and tractor operations. Employees will need to start and stop wells, clean nozzles for sprinklers, repair mechanical sprinkler break downs. Employees will also need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and irrigation systems including changing flat tires on sprinklers. Complete pre-inspection checks on tractors before operating. Knowledge of operating cultivators, row crop tractors, large 4-wheel drive tractors and must be able to detach and attach plows. Complete repairs on fences. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive sitting. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license.
