Job description

Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to prepare and maintain land. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements and other large farm equipment. Non CDL farm trucks will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to storage facilities. Workers will operate equipment to knock down and clear old levees, clear land, receive crop for storage at grain storage facility, dispose of spoiled grain, transport grain from fields to grain bins, load and unload grain into trucks while keeping grain level, operate augers and grain conveying equipment, monitor grain moisture levels, prepare scale tickets; and shovel grain. Manual duties include performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, barns and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; regularly servicing equipment; and lifting items as needed. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive sitting.
