Job description

I have a grain farm in central North Dakota where I grow wheat, barley, peas, soybeans, pinto beans, corn and sunflowers. I need a seasonal employee to operate farm equipment including a planter, air drill, sprayer, combine, grain cart and farm trucks. Employee will operate farm equipment, complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Maintain shop and grounds, haul commodities, haul water to the sprayer, spread fertilizer and possible operate the airseeder, planter and combine. We plant, raise and harvest our own farming operation from March until December. Employees will be required to complete all these farm duties on our farm during the season. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required.

From August until September we custom combine grain for a client as listed on the itinerary. Employees will only be conducting custom combine duties when working for the client listed on the itinerary from August until December.

Special Requirements

Employees will be required to have a regular drivers license. Job requires extensive sitting, pushing, pulling, walking, frequent stooping, repetitive movements, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Employer will conduct post-hire random drug tests to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination since it would be a violation of that policy. Require 3 months experience.
