Licensed Pesticide Applicator

Job Description

Safely and effectively pilot an agricultural T40-DJI Drone for the aerial application of Pesticides, Herbicides and Insecticides to the Hops, Onions, Winter Wheat, Peppers, Corn, and Squash fields.
Comprehensive understanding of weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and obstructions to ensure proper application and coverage.
Responsible for accurately and timely documenting detailed logs for pre-flight inspection, chemical application details, locations, acreage, and flight patterns.
Proficient in utilization and monitoring of the flight application that records and reports all flight patterns.
Responsible for proper handling and operation of the drone for different types of chemical and fertilizer application methods including correct nozzle and tank usage.
Responsible for the maintenance and care of drone and drone implements to ensure operating efficiency. Maintenance will include changing out nozzles 2 X per year or as needed, battery replacement, propeller changes and general cleaning and servicing.
Responsible to accurately mix ratios of chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides with water for application to trees, shrubs, lawns, or crops based on acreage application area.
Start motors and engage machinery, such as sprayer agitators or pumps or portable spray equipment.
Operate, maneuver, navigate, or drive vehicles while towing or mechanized equipment.
Ability to obtain license to drive company vehicle.
Ability to independently analyze situations and formulate and implement solutions.
Communicate relevant information to managers, supervisors, and co-workers.
The employer attests that the worker will be properly trained and obtain all chemical applicator licenses required by the State Department of Agriculture.

Special Requirements

4a) License Requirements

-Applicator Core Competency License - Issued by the State Department of Agriculture

-Agricultural Herbicide License - Issued by the State Department of Agriculture

- Aerial Applicator License

-Insecticide/Fungicide License

4b) Driver License

4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 50lbs.

4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time

4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing job duties

4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing job duties
