Job description
Drives/operates farm machinery, plant, cultivate, spray, fertilize, harvest, grains, peas, canola, and hay. Attach farm implements, e.g., plow, disc, drill to tractor. Performs duties like lubricating, repairing farm machinery and transports crops to elevator or storage area lifting at least 60 lbs. Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock such as moving, sorting, feeding, and calving. Will be responsible for checking cows during calving. Ability to repair fences. Operate/drive a loader tractor to feed cows and haying equipment including swather, baler, or rake.
Special Requirements
To comply with Federal, State and County regulations must be willing to obtain a class D driver's license within two months of employment. If applicant does have a license, applicant must furnish employer with current drivers abstract showing acceptable driving record.
