Job description
Christmas Trees: Tasks will be the fertilizing, weeding, mowing, cultivating, planting, pruning, shearing and harvesting of Christmas trees. Workers may be required to load and bale Christmas trees.
Farm Maintenance: Workers may be required to do farm maintenance activities including repair or painting of barns and other structures, greenhouses and fences and any other equipment or tools used on the farm.
Special Requirements
Lifting Requirements: Lift and move heavy boxes of seedlings, bags of fertilizer & trees to shake and bale.
Exposure to extreme temperatures: Work out in the heat planting, shearing & mowing and in the cold shaking and baling trees.
Extensive pushing or pulling: Pushing or pulling trees through the hand baler, pushing the bachtold mower.
Extensive sitting or walking: Can spend many hours sitting on a mower or walking behind a hand mower, walking through the fields picking up stumps and rocks, kicking in trees during planting or prining and shearing trees.
Frequent stooping or bending over: Stooping or bending while planting the seedlings and picking up stumps and rocks in the fields.
Repetitive movements: Repetitive motion of swinging the shearing knife & squeezing the pruners.
