Job description
Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals
Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries
Administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides
Assisting in birthing and be able to pull a calf
Ongoing maintenance includes fixing fences, digging post holes, raking and baling hay.
Use of various farm and cattle specific farming equipment (6175 John Deere tractors and loader, Miller Pro Forage Wagon)
Drive farm trucks, tractors, and other farming equipment to distribute food to cattle
Special Requirements
A minimum of three (3) months verifiable experience with no minimum education is required. Workers will perform manual and physical work requiring extensive pushing, pulling, sitting or walking, frequent stooping and bending over and movements might be repetitive. Job duties will require workers to be able to lift equipment, tools and items relating to performing a job duty up to 60 lbs. Most work is performed outdoors and workers will be exposed to extreme hot temperatures, humid conditions and severe weather.
Workers to obtain drivers license within 30-60 days after employment.
