Job description
Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest vegetables, fruits, nuts and field crops. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; cleaning, packing, and loading harvested products. May construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings, or participate in irrigation activities. Prepare and clean farm equipment and haul crops (corn and soybean) from grain silo to elevators to sell as animal feed.
Workers are guaranteed 7 hours of work hours per day for at least 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. However, the work schedule can vary between the hours of 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM and sometimes requires work on Saturdays in the busier part of the season. This work schedule is the same for all workers, including U.S. workers. 7 hour shift between 6:00AM to 4:00 PM
Special Requirements
3 months of agricultural experience, valid driver's license or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
