Sod Farm Laborer

Job description

Sod Farm Laborer:
Worker will plant, cultivate, grow, care for, and harvest agricultural or horticultural goods including sod. Work includes, but is not limited to planting, controlling weeds, mowing, fertilizing, pest control and other farm related tasks. Work requires constant bending and lifting and workers must be able to lift 50 lbs. throughout the day. Employer will furnish without costs, all tools, supplies, or equipment required in the performance of the work.

Operational specifications can change during the season due to crop or market condition. Workers will be expected to conform to the specific instructions given for each days work. Instructions and general supervision will be provided by the employer, supervisor or a designated employee. Daily individual work assignments, crew assignments and location of work will be made by the grower or supervisor as the needs of the operation dictate. Workers may be assigned a variety of duties in any given day and different tasks on different days.

Special Requirements

Must be able to work outdoors and lift 50 pounds.
