Job description
FARMWORKER/VINEYARD LABORER: Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: maintain, plant, weed, prune, thin, stake, and harvest to quality standards varieties of grape vines; prepare soil, vineyards and trellis for planting; dig and remove planted vines; load and unload agricultural products and supplies; spray herbicide, pesticide and other products; maintain, repair and clean up equipment, fences, buildings, and ranch property; set up, operate, and maintain irrigation; drive Employer-provided vehicle to and from the worksite and to locations within 30 miles; drive tractor, skid-steer, or other agricultural equipment to and from ranch while pulling different attachments on ranch property; attend to livestock including sheep; monitor and maintain livestock feed and water.
Pay will be hourly.
Special Requirements
Job requires worker to complete tasks related to vineyard and ranch production including grounds maintenance, wine grape planting and harvest, agricultural equipment operation, and care of livestock. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties.
Experience Requirement: 3 verifiable months of commercial agriculture experience in fruit harvest required, vineyard experience preferred. Applicants must furnish job references from employers within the last 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience.
Drug testing done at employer's expense and not utilized as a pre-employment tool.
