Job description

Weeding Job Description:
Weeding will include using a farm hand tool to remove weeds from fields and weed spraying.

Weeding Requirements:
*Ability to operate a hand sprayer

Irrigation Job Description:
Will repair and operate drip and furrow irrigation systems. Will move, set, and change siphon tubes.

Irrigation Requirements:
*Ability to drive. The driver’s license is not a pre-hire job requirement.
*Ability to read and write English/Spanish.
*Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Physical strength to lift containers that weight up to 50 pounds.

Special Requirements

2) Worker must possess 3 months of farm laborer experience.
4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs.
4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, etc.
4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while performing farm labor
4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor
4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties
