Job description

Crops/Commodities:

Hops & Apple.
This job requires a minimum of 1 month of agricultural employment experience in twining hops and tractor driving, handling both manual and mechanized tasks. Applicants must be able to furnish verbal or written statement establishing relevant prior work experience. Workers must be able to perform manual and mechanized tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Tractor Driving:
Workers will use power equipment, including, but not limited to, tractors, planters, mowers, sprayers, cultivators, fork lifts, skid loaders. Must operate agricultural equipment safely, with or without direction.

Twining/Stringing Hops:
Workers will attach string (twine) between trellis and the ground; drive the stringing cart (tractor) while other workers tie twine. Workers may ride on farm implement cart, approximately 18 feet above the ground, hand tying twine to trellis. Use tool to place metal clip in the ground; affix string to ground; fill water tank with hop twine to make twine damp; fix any strings that come loose or need repair.

Special Requirements

This job requires a minimum of 1 month of agricultural employment experience in twining hops and tractor driving, handling both manual and mechanized tasks. Applicants must be able to furnish verbal or written statement establishing relevant prior work experience. Workers must be able to perform manual and mechanized tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Saturday work required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required after a worker has an accident at work. Clean driving record required. Must have and maintain valid, insurable drivers license.
