Job description

During the winter and spring employee will assist with calving season. Duties will be assisting with birth deliveries, watering, castrating, weighing, catching and loading animals. Doing record keeping, administering medications, giving vaccinations or insecticides as appropriate. Doing daily duties as well as cleaning and maintaining animal housing areas. Will operate tractors and equipment to assist in feeding of cattle. In May employee will need to start repairing fences and getting the pastures ready. In June and July cattle are hauled out to pastures for grazing. By the end of July, all cattle are in pastures and no future care is needed until the following calving season start.

Special Requirements

Require a regular drivers license and three months experience working with cattle.
