Job description
The workers will measure and complete layout of grain bins on farms. Excavate footings and level the earth to grade specifications. Unload materials, lay out lumber and steel, tin sheets, trusses, and other components for building grain bins structures. Build and erect walls and trusses. The workers will mix, pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixer. Workers will also tend pumps, compressors, or generators to provide power for tools, machinery, or equipment. They will position and dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts. They will smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools. Workers will operate jackhammers or drills to break up concrete or pavement. The workers will position, join, align, or seal structural components, such as concrete wall section or pipes. They will tie rebar, position aluminum wall-forms, and place all concrete. Once the work is done the workers will then clean the job site. Occasional use of forklift upon employer provided certification.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds. One (1) month of concrete and framing work of the construction of grain bins on farms experience required. Post-employment drug tests are paid for by employer when applicable.
