Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Assist with daily farm functions including but not limited to the following: Operate various farm equipment (combines, tractors, trucks, etc.) for planting, spraying, cultivating, fertilizing, and harvesting of crops. Field ready implements and equipment. Load/unload trucks. May involve climbing ladders, grain bins etc. Grain handling. Drive farm truck to transport grain from field to storage. Maintain/repair machinery, i.e. change fluids in equipment, rotate tires, clean grain bins, wash vehicles, change brakes, check tire pressure, general maintenance, etc. Pick rocks, sticks, and other debris in fields. Spray and remove weeds using a variety of hand and power tools. Ground maintenance on farm and/or housing, i.e. weed eating, mowing, shoveling. Maintain/clean shop area. Other miscellaneous duties assigned. Workers must follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment. Crops: corn, soybeans and wheat.

Special Requirements

Valid driver's license. Employment reference. Must obtain and maintain a clean driving record and be insurable with employer's insurance policy. Must wear long pants during working hours. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the employee. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Bonuses may be paid at the sole discretion of the employer.
